Pan de Manila has joined the donut bandwagon! Well, at least in Cebu.
Apart from renovating their store in Ebloc 1 Bldg. in IT Park, they have also added a new lineup of treats specifically for this branch. Called Pan de Donuts, the selection includes some delicious Filipino-inspired donuts that were baked in the oven instead of fried.
When I saw these donuts on display, I first thought they looked like J.CO donuts that were doubled in size. Coming from a store that sells bread, I immediately thought they were pandesal with some donut-style toppings.
My curiosity got the best of me as I tried out one of their donuts-- the Chocolate Hills. I was surprised that its size was really huge. On top of the soft dough was melted chocolate mixed with some crunchy rice crispies. When I go to the middle part, I was even more surprised with the delicious cream filling inside it.
So basically, if J.CO and Krispy Kreme had a child together, it would be Pan de Manila's Pan de Donuts selection. It's good, delicious and big enough to share with another friend. The best part about this is that each donut only costs P38.
