One thing I enjoy most about my hometown, Bacolod, is that whenever I feel like I want to eat a certain dish, the options are readily available. It is only up to you to remember which restaurant serves really good food; or in this case, Italian cuisine. And when it comes to authentic Italian food, the options are very minimal. There’s Carlo’s Ristorante Italiano (a good date place which I haven’t been to for the past decade), Italia (the most convenient and popular Italian restaurants around), and then there’s Luna Piena in Art District. Surprisingly, I have not read any blog post about this quaint Italian restaurant despite its delicious menu and authentic dishes. Even on my third visit to the restaurant, it still surprises me that not a lot of my friends have discovered this place. This is why I decided to help it out by writing a review about their food through blog.
Luna Piena is an Italian restaurant situated in one of the city’s nightlife centers: Art District. It is on the upscale end of the area so you don’t need to worry about the negative things you often hear about the vicinity… Owned by a sweet and hospitable Filipina married to an Italian man, they will welcome you into their restaurant and accommodate you well.
On my 3 visits, here are the dishes that my companions and I were already able to taste:
Bruscheta
Gnochi
Pasta
Penne Pasta
Seafood Risotto
Risotto
I cannot fully remember the names of the dishes and their prices but I do remember that they are affordable and their dishes are good for sharing. I will return to the restaurant soon and update the items here. My recommended dishes are the risotto, gnocchi, pasta, and their creme brulee!
Luna Piena Italian Restobar is located at Art District, Lopues Mandalagan, Bacolod City. For inquiries, call 0927-2917847.
