My First Visit to Bacolod Cupcake Café Inc.

34

Right before the Holy Week started, I was able to visit a new cupcake place in town called B.C.C.
At first, you’d think it referred to the school but really, it stands for Bacolod Cupcake Café Inc.

As a newly opened café, BCC Inc. is still in its soft opening stage and this gave me reason to try it out. After a 2-year hiatus on my previous food blog, Eats Trixie, I decided to pursue my love for eating + writing and start a new one. With BCC as a new spot, I make my debut.

Personally speaking, I’m not too keen on cupcakes. I do have a sweet tooth but after living in Manila for 6 years and my late Dad’s diabetes, I have cut down on sugary snacks. However, I do have an occasional craving that I need to satisfy. And when it comes to cupcakes, all it takes is an episode of DC Cupcakes or Cupcake Wars.

Back in Manila, I already have a favorite cupcake store and it’s called Gigi’s. For me, they have the best Red Velvet Cupcakes ever. Their only branch is in Eastwood and for someone living in Makati, I had to be patient until my next craving.

When I visited BCC Inc., I decided to try their Carrot Topped with Pineapple Cream Cheese. It was something new and intriguing so I decided to try it out.

My siblings were with me during the visit and we were all able to try a little of something: Chocolate, Salted Caramel, and the Low Fat Vanilla.

With the summer heat, I particularly enjoyed the fact that the café did not have too many customers yet. It gave me more time to enjoy the cool air and the free Wi-fi.

I liked my order but I was only able to eat half because I thought it was too sweet for me already. It might be because I was drinking their Iced White Chocolate along with the cupcake.

I already made a decision on what my next cupcake order would be... Black Velvet, No Fat Chocolate, Bibingka, and the Ferrero

Mmmm… now I want a cupcake…

B.C.C. currently has a summer promo. From March 25-May 31, 2013, they have a Buy One Get One promo for their blended drinks. You just need to bring a copy of the official flyer to receive your free drink.
